ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Vehicle not Involved in Collision)
(a) Perform a diagnostic system check (See page
).
2. INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Vehicle Involved in Collision)
(a) Perform a diagnostic system check (See page
).
(b) Even if the airbag was not deployed, perform a visual check for damage to the occupant detection ECU. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the occupant detection ECU with a new one:
CAUTION:
For removal and installation procedures of the occupant detection ECU, see page
, and
. be sure to
follow the correct procedure.

RemovalPressure Control Solenoid "D" Performance (Shift Solenoid Valve SLT) (P2714)
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The shift solenoid valve SLT controls the transmission line pressure for smooth
transmission operation based on signals from the throttle position sensor and the
vehicle speed sensor. The ECM adjusts the current to shift solenoid valve SLT to
control hydraulic line pressure ...

Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit Short To Ground (P071011)
DESCRIPTION
The No. 1 ATF temperature sensor converts the fluid temperature into a resistance
value for use by the ECM.
The ECM applies a voltage to the temperature sensor through terminal THO1 of
the ECM.
The sensor resistance changes with the ATF temperature. As the temperature becomes
