DTC CHECK / CLEAR
NOTICE:
1. CHECK FOR DTC (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Trouble Codes.
(f) Check for DTCs.
2. CHECK FOR DTC (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY))
HINT:
The steering lock system DTCs are output from the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator or UPR bracket assembly) via the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key / Trouble Codes.
(f) Check for DTCs.
3. CLEAR DTC (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Trouble Codes.
(f) Clear the DTCs.
4. CLEAR DTC (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY))
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key / Trouble Codes.
(f) Clear the DTCs.

1. INSPECT COUNTER GEAR
(a) Using a dial indicator and 2 V-blocks, measure the counter gear runout.
Maximum runout:
0.03 mm (0.00118 in.)
If the runout is more than the maximum, replace the counter gear.
