DISASSEMBLY
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE OIL PUMP RELIEF VALVE
(a) Using a 27 mm socket wrench, remove the oil pump relief valve plug.
(b) Remove the oil pump relief valve spring and oil pump relief valve. |

(c) Remove the spring and relief valve.
2. REMOVE OIL PUMP COVER
(a) Remove the 8 bolts, oil pump cover, drive rotor and driven rotor. |

PROCEDURE
1. CONNECT TECHSTREAM
(a) Warm up the engine.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to off.
(c) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(e) Turn the Techstream on.
(f) Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Active Test.

DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid) receives the signals from the
ECM, steering angle sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly), 4 wheel drive
control ECU*, and yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via
the CAN communication system.

Air Mix Damper Position Sensor Circuit (Driver Side) (B1436/36)
DESCRIPTION
This sensor detects the position of the air mix damper (for driver side) and
sends the appropriate signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly. The position
sensor is built into the No. 3 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly
(for driver side air mix).
