(a) When using the Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot: Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second or less intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.
(b) After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 6 seconds after turning the engine switch on (IG).
2. PRECAUTION FOR REGISTRATION
(a) If replacing any of the following parts, refer to the registration procedures
(See page
).
NOTICE:
Any keys or ECUs for which registration has been performed cannot be reused.
(1) Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)
(2) Steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator or upr bracket assembly)
(3) Electrical key transmitter sub-assembly
(b) After replacing the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator or upr bracket assembly), confirm the lock/unlock operation of the steering lock.
