DESCRIPTION
The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor LH) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor LH). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor LH) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

NOTICE:
If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the
back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly on. Then clear the DTCs (See page

HINT:
All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.

1. CHECK DTC
(a) Check the DTCs.
(1) Turn the ignition switch off.
(2) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(3) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(4) Turn the Techstream on.
(5) Read the DTCs following the prompts on the Techstream screen. Enter the following
