ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle not Involved in Collision)
(a) Perform a diagnostic system check (See page
).
2. INSPECT SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle Involved in Collision and Airbag has not Deployed)
(a) Perform a diagnostic system check (See page
).
(b) When the center pillar of the vehicle or its area is damaged, check if there is any damage to the side airbag sensor. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the side airbag sensor with a new one:

For removal and installation procedures of the side airbag sensor. Be sure to follow the correct procedure.
3. INSPECT SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle Involved in Collision)
(a) Replace the side airbag sensor.

For removal and installation procedures of the side airbag sensor. Be sure to follow the correct procedure.
HINT:
The side airbag sensor on the impacted side should be replaced after the front seat airbag assembly and curtain shield airbag assembly have deployed.

1. REMOVE STEERING GEAR OUTLET RETURN TUBE
(a) Using a union nut wrench, remove the steering gear outlet return tube.
2. REMOVE STEERING TURN PRESSURE TUBE
(a) Using a union nut wrench, remove the 2 pressure tubes.
(b) Remove the 4 O-rings from the pressure tubes.

TS and CG Terminal Circuit
DESCRIPTION
In Test Mode (signal check), a malfunction in the speed sensor that cannot be
detected when the vehicle is stopped can be detected while driving.
Sensor check mode can be entered by connecting terminals TS and CG of the DLC3
and turning the ignition switch from off to ON.

DESCRIPTION
When the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) detects a motor
malfunction and the sliding roof operation is stopped, DTC B2341 is stored.
