INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the generator bracket to the generator assembly with the bolt.
Torque:
20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
(b) Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
43 N·m {438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf}
(c) Connect the generator bracket to the cylinder block sub-assembly with the bolt.
Torque:
20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
(d) Engage the clamp and connect the engine wire to the generator bracket.
(e) Connect the engine wire to the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
8.0 N·m {82 kgf·cm, 71 in·lbf}
(f) Connect the engine wire to the terminal B with the nut.
Torque:
9.8 N·m {100 kgf·cm, 87 in·lbf}
(g) Install the terminal cap.
(h) Connect the connector to the generator assembly .
(i) Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.
Torque:
8.0 N·m {82 kgf·cm, 71 in·lbf}
(j) Engage the clamp and install the engine wire to the wire harness clamp bracket.
2. INSTALL NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY

3. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the No. 2 idler pulley sub-assembly with the bolt.
Torque:
43 N·m {438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf}
4. INSTALL V-BANK COVER

5. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY
6. INSTALL BATTERY
7. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the battery clamp sub-assembly and tighten the nut.
Torque:
5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}
8. CONNECT CABLE TO POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque:
5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}
9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE TERMINAL
Torque:
5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
