DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
1. DESCRIPTION
(a) The transponder key ECU assembly controls the engine immobiliser system. The engine immobiliser system data and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) can be read through the vehicle Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3).
2. CHECK DLC3

3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
(a) Measure the battery voltage.
Standard Voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery.

Immobiliser System does not Operate Properly
DESCRIPTION
The engine immobiliser system compares the ID code that is registered in the
certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) with the ID code of the transponder chip
that is embedded in the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.
