Toyota Tacoma 2015-2018 Service Manual: Data List / Active Test



By accessing the Data List displayed on the Techstream, you can perform such functions as reading the values of switches and sensors without removing any parts. Reading the Data List is the first step of troubleshooting and is one method to shorten labor time.


(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.

(c) Follow the display on the Techstream screen to enter the "Data List".

(d) Check the condition by referring to the table below.

Fail: Failure is detected



Left side Buckle SW

Buckle switch (Driver side)/

Unset: The seat belt is not fastened

Set: The seat belt is fastened

NG: Data is not determined



Right side Buckle SW

Buckle switch (Right side)/

Unset: The seat belt is not fastened

Set: The seat belt is fastened

NG: Data is not determined



Display Type Information

Display type identification information/

LR: The display is indicated by LH/RH

DP: The display is indicated by Driver/Passenger
