Toyota Tacoma (2015-2018) Service Manual: Installation

INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the vane pump assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

21 N·m {214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}

(b) Connect the ground wire with the bolt.

Torque:

8.5 N·m {87 kgf·cm, 75 in·lbf}

2. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install a new gasket to the pressure feed tube assembly.

(b) Connect the pressure feed tube assembly with the union bolt.

Torque:

50 N·m {510 kgf·cm, 37 ft·lbf}

(c) Connect the oil pressure switch connector.

NOTICE:

Make sure that no oil adheres to the connector.

3. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

(a) Connect the No. 1 oil reservoir to pump hose and slide the clip to secure it.

4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON UPPER SEAL RH

5. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 5. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

5. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

6. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

6. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

7. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID

8. INSPECT FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK

8. INSPECT FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK

9. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

Torque:

30 N·m {306 kgf·cm, 22 ft·lbf}

10. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Off Road Package)

Torque:

30 N·m {306 kgf·cm, 22 ft·lbf}
