INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Be sure to perform this procedure with several people as the transfer assembly is very heavy.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL TRANSFER CASE LOWER PROTECTOR

(a) Install the transfer case lower protector with the 4 bolts.

Torque:

18 N·m {184 kgf·cm, 13 ft·lbf}

2. INSTALL TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the transfer assembly and 2 clamps with the 8 bolts.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the lip of the transfer adapter oil seal.

Torque:

24 N·m {245 kgf·cm, 18 ft·lbf}

3. CONNECT TRANSFER BREATHER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the 2 transfer breather hose sub-assemblies.

(b) Engage the 2 clamps to connect the 2 transfer breather hose sub-assemblies.

4. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS

(a) for 2GR-FKS:

(1) Engage the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness.

(2) Connect the connector.

(b) for 2TR-FE:

(1) Engage the 4 clamps to connect the wire harness.

(2) Connect the connector.

5. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

6. INSTALL NO. 3 FRAME CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY 6. INSTALL NO. 3 FRAME CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

6. INSTALL NO. 3 FRAME CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

7. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY 7. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY

7. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY

8. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY FRONT

8. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY FRONT

9. ADD TRANSFER OIL

9. ADD TRANSFER OIL

10. INSPECT FOR TRANSFER OIL LEAK

10. INSPECT FOR TRANSFER OIL LEAK
