Toyota Tacoma (2015-2018) Service Manual: Front Radar Sensor Region Code Mismatch (C1A0A)

DESCRIPTION

The forward recognition camera receives necessary information from the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

When the forward recognition camera judges that a millimeter wave radar sensor assembly which is not compatible with the vehicle has been installed, DTC C1A0A is stored.

After the ignition switch is turned to ON for 3 seconds or more, the forward recognition camera detects that a millimeter wave radar sensor assembly which is not compatible with the vehicle is installed for 5 seconds or more.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform forward recognition camera adjustment.

  • When replacing the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a millimeter wave radar sensor assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
  • If the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly has been replaced, be sure to perform millimeter wave radar sensor assembly adjustment.

CHECK FOR DTCs (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTCs.

If the conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

(c) Check for DTCs.
