At a vehicle speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more, noise occurs in the sensor signals of a malfunctioning wheel 75 times or more within 5 seconds. At a vehicle speed of 10 km/h (6 mph) or more, noise occurs once per rotor rotation for 15 seconds or more. An open in the sensor signal circuit of a malfunctioning area occurs 255 times or more.
At a vehicle speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more, noise occurs in the sensor signals of a malfunctioning wheel 75 times or more within 5 seconds.
At a vehicle speed of 10 km/h (6 mph) or more, noise occurs once per rotor rotation for 15 seconds or more.

HINT:

DTCs C1413 and C1275 are for the front speed sensor RH.

NOTICE:

When replacing the skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid), perform calibration (See page ).
Check the speed sensor signal after cleaning or replacement (See page ).

PROCEDURE

1.	CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MOMENTARY INTERRUPTION)

GO TO STEP 9

2.	READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (FRONT SPEED SENSOR)

GO TO STEP 5

3.	PERFORM TEST MODE (SIGNAL CHECK)

(a) Perform the signal check in the Test Mode Procedure (See page OK: OK: ).

OK:

All test mode DTCs are cleared.

GO TO STEP 5

4.	RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs (See page (b) Turn the ignition switch off. ).

(b) Turn the ignition switch off.

(d) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for at least 60 seconds.

(e) Check if the same DTC is output (See page Result ).

5.	CHECK FRONT SPEED SENSOR INSTALLATION

INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR CORRECTLY

6.	INSPECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR TIP

CLEAN OR REPLACE FRONT SPEED SENSOR

7.	INSPECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR ROTOR

CLEAN OR REPLACE FRONT AXLE WITH ABS ROTOR BEARING ASSEMBLY

8.	INSPECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE

REPLACE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE

9.	CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - FRONT SPEED SENSOR)

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

10.	INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (FR+, FL+ TERMINAL)

REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID

11.	RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs (See page (b) Turn the ignition switch off. ).

(b) Turn the ignition switch off.

(d) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for at least 60 seconds.

(e) Check if the same DTC is output (See page Result ).
