DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via the CAN communication system.
The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in yaw rate sensor and detects the vehicle condition.
If there is trouble in the bus lines between the acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) and the CAN communication system, DTC U0124 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) is set.
These DTCs are also output when calibration has not been completed.

HINT:
DTC will be output when conditions for either of the patterns in the table above are met.
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information (See page ).
HINT:
When U0124 and/or U0126 is output together with C1436, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0124 and/or U0126 first (See page ).
PROCEDURE
1. |
READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (YAW RATE SENSOR) |
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
(f) Check that the yaw rate sensor output value displayed on the Techstream.
