• Heated steering wheel

Warms the steering wheel grip surfaces to make the Toyota Tacoma more comfortable to drive in cold conditions.

  • Front seat heaters

Warm the front seat upholstery, providing additional comfort for the driver and front passenger when cabin temperatures are low.

  • Front seat ventilators

Promote airflow through the seat upholstery by drawing air through the seat surfaces, helping reduce heat and moisture around the occupant during warmer conditions.

WARNING

To prevent minor burn injuries

Use particular care when the heated steering wheel or seat heaters are operating and any person in the following categories is in contact with the heated surfaces. Such occupants may be more susceptible to low-temperature burns or may not notice excessive heat as quickly:

  • Babies, small children, elderly persons, those who are ill, and people with physical disabilities
  • Persons with sensitive skin or an increased sensitivity to heat
  • Persons who are significantly fatigued
  • Persons who have consumed alcohol or taken medication that can cause drowsiness, including sleeping medication, cold remedies or similar drugs

NOTICE

To prevent damage to the seat heaters and seat ventilators

Do not place heavy objects with uneven or concentrated contact surfaces on the seats, and never insert sharp objects such as needles, nails or similar items into the seat upholstery. Doing so can damage the heating or ventilation components built into the Toyota Tacoma seats.

To prevent battery discharge

Do not operate these comfort functions while the engine is off, as continued electrical use can discharge the vehicle battery.

WARNING

To prevent overheating and minor burn injuries

Observe the following precautions whenever the seat heaters are operating. Excessive or prolonged heat exposure can cause discomfort, overheating or minor burn injuries.

  • Do not cover a heated seat with a blanket, cushion or other insulating material, as trapped heat may cause the seat surface temperature to rise excessively.
  • Do not operate the seat heater longer or at a higher setting than necessary for occupant comfort.
