INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL PAD
(a) Install the brake pedal pad onto the brake pedal.
2. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the brake pedal support assembly with 4 nuts.
Torque:
14 N·m {145 kgf·cm, 10 ft·lbf}
(b) Connect the stop light switch connector to the stop light switch.

(c) Install the bolt onto the reinforcement. Torque: 19 N·m {189 kgf·cm, 14 ft·lbf} |

3. INSTALL MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
(a) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the inner surface of the hole on the brake pedal lever.
(b) Install the push rod clevis onto the brake pedal lever with the push rod pin and a new clip.
4. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT

5. INSPECT PEDAL FREE PLAY

6. INSPECT PEDAL RESERVE DISTANCE

7. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

8. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
