When this DTC is output, confirm that the vehicle stability control system is normal since it may be malfunctioning.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK FOR DTC (ABS/VSC/TRAC)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch on.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.

(e) Check for DTCs (See page OK: ).

OK:

Vehicle stability control system DTCs are not output

CHECK FOR DTC (DTC P157800)

(a) Clear the DTCs (See page (b) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are ).

(b) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT:

If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.

(2) Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).

(3) Push the cruise control main switch to -SET to begin control of vehicle speed using the cruise control system.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT:

If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.

(2) Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).

(3) Push the cruise control main switch to -/SET to begin control of vehicle speed by the cruise control system.

(e) Check the DTCs (See page OK: ).
