My Settings
My Settings can recognize an individual through an assigned authentication device, such as an electronic key, and recall vehicle settings previously recorded for that driver when the Toyota Tacoma is entered. By assigning an authentication device to each driver in advance, the vehicle can automatically restore that person's preferred settings. My Settings can store individual profiles for up to 3 drivers, making it easier for multiple drivers to use the same Toyota Tacoma with their own saved preferences.
For instructions on how to assign or delete electronic keys, enter or change driver names, perform initialization, manually switch between drivers, or delete a driver profile, refer to the "MULTIMEDIA OWNER'S MANUAL".
Types of assigned authentication devices
A driver can be recognized through the following supported authentication devices associated with their profile.
- Electronic key
The Toyota Tacoma identifies an individual when the smart key system detects the electronic key assigned to that driver.
- Bluetooth devices
A driver can also be identified when the same Bluetooth device that was previously used as a hands-free phone during the last vehicle entry is connected to the audio system. This provides another way for My Settings to determine which stored driver preferences should be recalled.

Recalled functions
Once an individual has been recognized through an assigned authentication device, the Toyota Tacoma can recall stored settings for the following functions.
- Meter display and multimedia information*
After the driver is identified, the meter display and multimedia settings that were in use when the engine switch was last turned off are recalled for that driver profile.
- Vehicle settings that can be set using the multimedia display*
When the individual is recognized, applicable vehicle settings selected through the multimedia display and used when the engine switch was last turned off are restored.
- Safe driving support function*
For recognized drivers, applicable settings for the safe driving support functions that were active when the engine switch was last turned off are recalled as part of the stored Toyota Tacoma driver preferences.
*: Some settings are excluded and therefore may not be recalled through My Settings.
