DESCRIPTION

The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor.

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via the CAN communication system.

When voltage at terminal +BS is 9.5 to 17.4 V, sensor invalid information received from acceleration sensor is ON continuously for 10 seconds or more.

Invalid Data Received from Yaw Rate Sensor

When voltage at terminal +BS is 9.5 to 17.4 V, sensor invalid information received from yaw rate sensor is ON continuously for 10 seconds or more.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information (See page PROCEDURE PROCEDURE ).

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs (See page ). (b) Turn the ignition switch off. ).

(b) Turn the ignition switch off.

(c) Start the engine and idle it for 60 seconds, and then stop the engine.

(d) Check if the same DTC is recorded (See page Result Result ).
