Failure to follow these precautions may allow exhaust gases to enter the vehicle interior. Exposure may cause light-headedness or loss of concentration, potentially leading to an accident, and prolonged exposure may result in death or a serious health hazard.
Important points while driving
- Vehicles equipped with a power back window: Keep the back window fully closed while driving to help prevent exhaust gases from being drawn into the cabin.
- If you notice the smell of exhaust gases inside the Toyota Tacoma even when the back window (vehicles with a power back window) is closed, open the windows to ventilate the cabin and have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer as soon as possible. Do not ignore an unusual exhaust odor inside the passenger compartment.
When parking
