This DTC is output when a malfunction of the differential lock switch is detected.

Rear Differential Lock Control SW Stuck ON

  • Diagnosis Condition: Directly after the ignition switch is turned to ON, or when the ignition switch is ON
  • Malfunction Status: Differential lock switch stuck ON
  • Malfunction Time: 0.3 seconds or more when the ignition switch is turned to ON, or 60 seconds or more with the ignition switch ON
  • Other: 1 trip detection logic
  • Wire harness and connector
  • 4 wheel drive control ECU
  • Differential lock switch

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the F13 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the D5 differential lock switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the roof console box assembly.

(a) Disconnect the D5 differential lock switch connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
