INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU
(a) Check that the ignition switch is OFF.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.
CAUTION:
After removing the cable from the terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.
(c) Engage the claw to install the occupant detection ECU.
NOTICE:
- If the occupant detection ECU has been dropped, or there are cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
- When installing the occupant detection ECU, make sure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with any other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
(d) Connect the 2 connectors to the occupant detection ECU.

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque:
5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
