DESCRIPTION
When the dynamic radar cruise control system is turned on using the cruise control main switch (ON-OFF button), the cruise control indicator (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode) illuminates. The ECM uses this and other indicators to indicate the control condition (presence or absence of a preceding vehicle, vehicle-to-vehicle distance, and set vehicle speed) and fail-safe state via CAN communication.

PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT BRAKE DRUM INSIDE DIAMETER
(a) Using a brake drum gauge or equivalent, measure the inside diameter of the
drum.
Standard inside diameter:
254 mm (10.00 in.)
Maximum inside diameter:
256 mm (10.08 in.)
If the inside diameter is greater than the maximum, r ...
Communication Error from VSC to ECM Invalid Serial Data Received (P163081)
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid)*1 or skid control ECU (brake
actuator assembly)*2 sends signals such as cruise control cancel signals and brake
demand response signals to the ECM when the dynamic radar cruise control system
is operating.

Rear Airbag Sensor LH Circuit Malfunction (B1635/24)
DESCRIPTION
The airbag sensor LH consists of parts such as the safing sensor, the diagnostic
circuit and the lateral deceleration sensor.
When the airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the lateral deceleration
sensor, it determines whether or not the SRS should be activated.
